Ralston did send Monique and Andy to run ahead to get help, and Ralston did walk seven miles before the helicopter came, although this trek is shown in the film's alternative ending. The logline and description may not sound like much, but 127 Hours delivers one of the most riveting and incredibly emotional experiences I have had in a theatre in some time. What is surprising is that this old machinery, creaking, still works: a five-day state under the stone becomes dynamic, heart pounding to the beat of the soundtrack, and even the irrepressible monkey how Franco plays Ralston, you begin to empathize.

It is only in limited release now, but I can only hope that audiences everywhere will get the opportunity to see the movie. The guy must of survived if he wrote a book about it right?
